Front: Albert Einstein (1879-1955), theoretical physicist
Einstein was born in Germany but immigrated to the United States in 1933.
In 1905, he authored the general theory of relativity. In 1919, the British solar
eclipse expeditions confirmed his theory that light rays from distant stars were
deflected by the gravity of the sun in the exact amount as he predicted.
After that Einstein became world-famous. In 1921, he was awarded the Nobel
Prize for Physics.

Front: Moses Montefiore (1784-1885), British-Jewish philanthropist
Montefiore was born in Italy. He married a Rothschild and became affiliated
with the family's banking business. He accumulated a fortune on the London
stock exchange and retired in 1826 to devote himself to philanthropy and to
advance the political and civil freedom for Jews in England.

Front: Baron Edmond de Rothschild (1845-1934), philanthropist
Rothschild was born in Paris. He did not enter the family banking business,
but devoted himself instead to art and culture. His greatest achievements were
supporting massive land purchases and underwriting Jewish settlement in Eretz
Yisrael in response to threats facing the Jewish people in Europe in the late
19th century.
