The Central Bank of Iran has issued high denomination banknotes called "Iran Cheques". These are used like regular banknotes all over the country, they are dispensed through ATMs, accepted and exchanged at neighboring countries.

With inflation currently running above 27%, Iran's central bank plans to revalue the Islamic Republic's currency by slashing three to four zeros from the currency.
